Kai’s Bakery (凱心烘焙坊) is a brand identity project focused on building a warm and nostalgic bakery image through cohesive visual design, packaging, and promotional materials.
I developed a complete CIS (Corporate Identity System) that expresses craftsmanship, comfort, and sincerity — values that reflect the spirit of small local bakeries.

Objective:

To design a consistent brand identity that feels handcrafted yet professional, blending traditional charm with a modern presentation.
The project’s goal was to create a unified system across print and packaging materials that can communicate the bakery’s warmth, authenticity, and trust.

Design Concept:

The core idea behind Kai’s Bakery is “Love in Every Bake” — a reflection of personal care and sincerity.
I combined retro-inspired typography with soft pastel tones to give a nostalgic yet inviting feeling.
The logo features elegant curves symbolizing homemade warmth, while balanced spacing and composition ensure it feels professional and trustworthy.

Brand Applications:

I extended the identity across multiple touchpoints to maintain consistency and recognition:

  • Logo System: Wordmark and monogram designed for signage and packaging.

  • Business Card & Posters: Clean layout with brand colors for immediate recognition.

  • Flyers & Brochures: Designed to evoke neighborhood familiarity.

  • Packaging: Paper bags, mugs, gift boxes, and wrapping elements, unified through the logo and color scheme.

  • Stationery & Merch: Keychains, notebooks, and hand fans reinforcing the brand’s friendly character.

All materials were documented in a CIS brand manual, specifying logo usage, color palette, and layout principles.

Reflection:

This project allowed me to explore how visual identity systems can communicate brand values through texture, tone, and typography.
I learned to think beyond digital screens — designing for physical materials, print production, and tactile experiences.
It reinforced my passion for crafting design systems that not only look cohesive but also tell a story people can feel and remember.
